Woodlawn
After 10 years of utilizing temporary squash court and classroom space, MetroSquash constructed a permanent home at the corner of 61st and Cottage Grove Avenue. Located in the Woodlawn neighborhood and opened in April 2015, the center was built thanks to $8M of generous support from the Chicago’s civic and squash community. The Hussain MetroSquash Center is Chicago’s largest squash facility and features 7 singles squash courts, 1 doubles squash court, 4 classrooms, staff office, and a social work office.
Demographic Breakdown
Our Woodlawn students come to us from all neighborhoods all over the south side of Chicago, primarily the communities of Woodlawn, Washington Park, South Shore, and Chatham.
