Anita Rival
Anita has a diverse knowledge of business and finance. She is currently an independent director on the Board of Golub Business Development Company (GBDC) since 2011 as well several other Golub Capital private entities. Anita is also a Trustee of Baron Investment Funds since 2013. Previously, Anita spent 24 years in the financial securities and investment businesses. She was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Harris Alternatives, L.L.C. and its predecessor, Harris Associates, L.P., where she managed all aspects of their fund of hedge funds business. Anita is a graduate of Harvard College with a degree in Psychology and Social Relations and where she swam for 4 year and was the Captain of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team her senior year. She has three athletic children, the youngest of whom is a Collegiate Varsity Squash player.
David Kay
Former MetroSquash Chief Executive Officer
David moved to Chicago in 2005 to help launch the program. Previously, David coached the men’s squash team at the University of Rochester. He was the head squash professional at the Union Club of New York and a top ranked player on the professional doubles tour. A native of Canada, David played competitive junior squash and attended Princeton University where he was an All-American and member of the 1993 National Championship team.

Stephen is Managing Director at BMO Financial Group where he has spent his entire career. Stephen graduated from Trinity University with his BS in Business Administration and received his MBA from Olin Business School at Washington University in St Louis. Stephen is an avid squash and golfer. Stephen developed his love of squash after college and is a regular doubles player.

Will leads the Chartwell’s capital markets team as well as its Chicago office. He has worked on both mergers and acquisitions as well as capital markets transactions within a variety of industries while executing high profile ESOP buyouts, terminations, and restructurings. Prior to Chartwell, Will was an investment banker with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Transaction Development group, where he focused on executing sell-side, buy-side, and ESOP transactions for middle-market clients between $200 million and $2 billion in enterprise value.

Colleen is the director of William Blair’s philanthropy strategy and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration marketing efforts. She is responsible for defining, planning, and executing marketing and communication strategies for the philanthropy strategy and ESG programs at the firmwide level. This role supports the growing need for social and environmental innovation, as well as championing William Blair’s culture of philanthropic commitment and community engagement. Before this role, Colleen was the director of corporate communications for William Blair. She focused on developing strategic programs and ensuring that all firmwide and business‐line marketing and communications were aligned with the firm’s brand image and marketing strategies both internally and externally. Earlier in her career, Colleen supported the marketing component of William Blair’s Investment Management division. She has been with William Blair since 1992. Colleen is a board member of the AnnMarie Foundation and is passionate about community engagement that focuses on empowering young individuals. She has a B.S. from St. Xavier University and a certification from the Wharton Executive Management Program. She is a member of 100 Women in Finance. Colleen lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband and two daughters.

Beau is a Partner at Vantage Leadership Consulting where he specializes in executive development, succession planning and senior team effectiveness. He is also a faculty member of Northwestern’s Learning and Organizational Change program where he teaches executive coaching. As an athlete, Beau was a First Team All American and All Ivy selectee as a member of the Dartmouth College Squash Team. After graduating, he played squash on the World Tour and was a member of the United States Squash Team. Drawn to the psychology of the game, Beau attended Adler University where he received an M.A. in counseling and a Psy.D. in clinical psychology. He frequently publishes his insights and is a regular contributor to Forbes in the area of leadership strategy. In his spare time, Beau enjoys yoga, biking, and building Legos with his sons, Theo and Wynnie.
Lawanda R. Crayton

Lawanda is the Chief Technology Officer for the Office of the City Clerk, she leads the technology team who oversees the technology infrastructure which supports the products and services offered by the City Clerk. Lawanda has served in City government and IT for 20 years. Lawanda attended Robert Morris University where she received a degree in Business Administration and has a Master’s Degree in Technology Management from Capella University. Lawanda has been a part of the Metrosquash program for over 10 years, serving in many roles including Co-Chair of the Family Advisory Board, Mentor and volunteer. Her daughters are both alumni of the program, Miaya graduated from Alabama A & M in 2020 and Makyla who graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2022. Lawanda is passionate about the opportunity and exposure Metrosquash provides to inner City youth, as she was similarly part of a program called “The I have Dream Foundation” as a youth.. Lawanda is dedicated and extremely passionate about the empowerment of inter-city youth and putting in the effort to provide positive resources to improve their lives, not just her own children but as many that cross your path.

Reeve joined Waud Capital in 2022 as a Vice President in the Healthcare Services group where he sits on the board of Concierge Home Care. Prior to joining Waud Capital, he most recently worked with two PE-backed portfolio companies where he focused on strategy and operations. Prior to that, he spent nearly four years on the investment team at Swander Pace Capital, a consumer-focused PE firm. Reeve started his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan as part of the Financial Institutions Group. Outside of Waud Capital, Reeve is a Partner at Deep Cove Partners (“DCP”), a Chicago-based management group for a portfolio of family-held investments across real estate and private equity. He holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jonathan Lewis is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sheridan Capital Partners, a healthcare investment firm based in Chicago, IL. Prior to joining Sheridan, Jonathan worked at PNC Equity Partners in Pittsburgh, William Blair Capital Partners in Chicago, and Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. in Charlotte. Jonathan earned a BA with honors with a triple major in English, French, and philosophy from Furman University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Joseph Harris

Joseph’s background includes experience working at Aetna, as an Employee Benefits Consultant, and at an early stage Healthcare startup. Joseph began his career in the Healthcare industry in Aetna’s Premier Leadership Development Program, sponsored by Karen Lynch, CVS’s President. During this program he gained industry and market knowledge, completed rotations through underwriting, Network Analytics, Account Management, Sales (National Accounts – organizations with 10k+ employees lives, Middle Market, & Small Group),Data Analytics, and more. After completing the program, Joseph was promoted to Regional Vice President at Aetna’s TPA division. In this position, he created and executed business strategies across the Carolinas. This included making strategic recommendations to employer groups – impacting over 130,000 people. These recommendations included introducing innovative healthcare strategies such as Captives, Navigation models, transparency tools, Affordable Care Organizations (value based care), pharmacy management programs, and other healthcare solutions. During this time he trained and mentored Group School Associates as they prepared to take on Sales and Account Management roles. As Employee Benefits Consultant, Joseph took a consultative approach to develop and maintain client relationships and acted as a trusted advisor to determine their employee benefits strategies. By understanding the needs of his clients, he introduced Employee Assistance Programs, executed employee communication strategies, provided efficient medical plans, and more. Joseph has a longstanding commitment to being an active community member and serving HR leaders. He has served as a member on the Board of Advisors at the Finley YMCA, and currently serves as Co-Chair for Raleigh SHRM’s Emerging Leaders (EL) Program, and is the chapter Founder of HRHotSeat Raleigh| Durham. Joseph earned his B.A in Political Science from Tufts University in Boston, MA. Joseph is originally from Chicago, IL and now lives in Charlotte, NC.

Emilie is the marketing technology owner at Morningstar where she has worked since 2014. Prior to Morningstar, Emilie worked for several public health studies at the University of Chicago Medicine, University of Michigan, and Yale University. Emilie received her BA in Psychology from Vassar College in New York.
She’s described as a relentless force attacking problems with infectious energy, enthusiasm, and data & outcome-oriented mindset. This can-do spirit perhaps stems from her sports training & competitive squash playing. Outside of work, she’s served (pun intended) as the president for Illinois Squash, an organization building community around love of squash & fitness. She’s also a volunteer, mentor, and former auxiliary board president of MetroSquash’s Auxiliary Board. She captained the 5th annual MetroSquash Cup team “Love All” raising over $50,000 for the program.

Brian Sedlak oversees Jones Day’s corporate real estate services practice and is co-chair of the firm’s global infrastructure practice. He represents Fortune 500 companies, large U.S. developers, and real estate funds with their real estate portfolios and investments. Brian is also an Illinois Certified Public Accountant and is on the Dean’s Advisory Board at Northeastern Illinois University. He is an avid but struggling squash player.

Vice President, Transport Operational Resiliency Director.
As HDR’s Transportation Operational Resiliency Director, Janet helps lead and identify opportunities for HDR to help clients prepare for and address threats from disrupter events as well as plan for long-term impacts due to natural disasters, severe weather-related events, organizational transformation, industry change, and inequitable community shifts. Janet oversees the strategic development and growth of HDR’s advisory service teams including, but not limited to our economics, funding and statistics, strategic communications, sustainability and resiliency, and value engineering and program risk management. Janet’s background provides for a diverse approach to resilient development and implementation of community planning, land use, and transportation projects for federal, state, local, private and non-for-profit clients. Her experience includes transportation infrastructure program management, early planning and design oversight, and she frequently leads the dialogue to help clients define their community goals while building on organizational programs and supporting stakeholder participation in program implementation. As a first-generation Mexican-American, Gonzalez Tudor is a longtime advocate for connecting under-represented populations to programmatic transportation infrastructure decisions. Her passion stems from her drive to build stronger, more inclusive and equitable communities.
Keyonnie Dowdell
Keyonnie Dowdell – YMCA of the USA
Keyonnie is currently the Financial Development Data and Grant Making Manager at YMCA of the USA. She is responsible for grant compliance, data management, enhancement or development of efficient and effective processes, procedures, tools and systems. She manages the sub-granting process and the online grant management system which represents approximately $38 million of awarded grants annually to ensure that grant deadlines, outcomes, deliverables, and reporting requirements are achieved within the department’s policies and procedures from secured raised funds.
Keyonnie received her M.B.A. and M.P.M. from Keller Graduate School of Management and her B.S. in Liberal Arts & Science from University of Illinois at Urbana. Keyonnie resides on the Southside of Chicago with her husband and two children.
Chris Wyant
Executive Director at Made to Save
Chris Wyant is currently the Executive Director at Made to Save. Previously, Chris was the Deputy Chief Program Officer at the Obama Foundation where he led the Program Strategy and Operations Team. Over the past 11 years Chris has held a number of leadership positions at national nonprofits, political campaigns, and government. In 2016, he ran Ohio for the Hillary for America campaign. He spent nearly three years as Managing Director of Enroll America, the nationwide movement that successfully enrolled more than 16 million people in health coverage. He held leadership roles in the Obama administration, as a Director in Presidential Personnel at the White House and Chief of Staff of the US Trade and Development Agency, as well as on both of President Obama’s campaigns, beginning in South Carolina in 2007. He began his career as an Analyst in Private Banking at Credit Suisse.
Chris, who grew up in Cincinnati, graduated from Yale College where he studied history and played varsity squash for four years. Chris currently lives in Lincoln Park with his wife and son.
A. Noah Minetz
Senior trader – Group One Trading
Noah, a Chicago native, graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in statistics. After graduation, Noah returned to Chicago and took a post with Group One Trading, LP and has become one of its top performing traders. While trading occupies most of Noah’s professional time, he also ventured into the real estate world by starting an investment firm with his wife, Bryce, in 2013. As for his personal time, much of it is devoted to squash. Noah discovered squash through an introductory clinic at the University Club during his 100 pound weight loss journey and never looked back. Knowing what a tremendous impact squash has had on Noah’s life not only in terms of fitness, but also how it has allowed him to build meaningful professional and personal networks, he believes this sport is a wonderful median to impact the lives of the youth in this great city and is very excited to be joining the MetroSquash Board of Directors.
Christopher R. Jacques

Chris Jacques joined Macquarie Asset Management in September 2018 to build and expand institutional relationships in the central part of the United States. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at WisdomTree Asset Management from 2010 to 2018, leaving the firm as a director of institutional sales. Before that, Chris worked in New York City as an institutional sales associate for an equity research firm. He began his career in Chicago with Cygnus Atratus as an assistant trader. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame where he ran track and field.
Anita Harvey-Dixon

Anita has worked for the Ounce approximately 19 years and has held several positions including Implementation Advisor for the Educare Learning Network and Site Administrator /Assistant Director for the Educare School in Chicago, IL. Ms. Harvey-Dixon has over 25 years of experience in the field of education working with learners of different ages. Her experiences include being a classroom teacher in a Head Start program to working with adult learners. For several years, Anita worked for the television industry where she managed and produced educational and community based projects and programs. Anita received her undergraduate degree from City College of the City University of New York (CCNY). She has two Masters Degrees one from Yale University and the second from Erikson Institute in child development with a focus on administration and infants and toddlers. The Dixon family has been involved with MetroSquash for approximately 8 years. Their daughter, Crystal, started in summer camp in 5th grade and is entering her senior year at Beacon Academy a private Montessori high school in Evanston that was introduced to their family by MetroSquash. The family has greatly benefitted from the relationship with MetroSquash. Crystal has learned the game, traveled, and most importantly established strong relationships with peers and adults that have supported her growth and development. Paul, the husband, and Anita have also established strong relationships at MetroSquash with staff, other families and young people. Because of the relationships and support MetroSquash has provided the Dixons’ find it only appropriate to reciprocate. They have done this by volunteering at tournaments and the Hussain Center, attended galas, participated in promotional videos, spoken to interested families, and are active members of the Family Board.
Zach Archer
Portfolio Manager – DRW Trading
Zach is currently a Portfolio Manager at DRW Trading. He focuses on commodities with a strong lean toward agriculture futures and options. He started at DRW in 2006, directly after graduating from Duke University. At Duke, Zach double majored in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He is an avid squash player. Zach currently lives in Chicago with his wife and kids.
Craig E. Clinton
Craig, a graduate of Western Illinois University, Bachelor of Arts Degree, and Chicago Theological Seminary (CTS), Master of Divinity Degree, is a twice retired federal law enforcement officer. Craig began his 28-year federal career as a special agent with the US Railroad Retirement Board Office of Inspector General (OIG) and rose to the position of Special Agent In Charge (SAIC ) for the US Environmental Protection Agency OIG where he supervised special agents and administrative staff in three states. After federal retirement in 2012, Craig was hired as a senior special agent, and acted for a period as SAIC, for the Amtrak OIG. Craig retired from Amtrak OIG in 2018. In 2018, Craig began a chaplaincy intern program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NWM) which he successfully completed that same year. Craig is currently a chaplaincy board certification intern at NWM where he serves as chaplain for a diverse patient, family, and staff population. Craig was introduced to MetroSquash in 2016 through CTS, where he served as intern throughout the 2016/17 school year. Craig has volunteered as a MetroSquash mentor since 2017. It is Craig’s two mentees and other MetroSquash students that introduced Craig to squash, which he enjoyed practicing with students. In Craig’s spare time, he enjoys outside physical activity (cardio and strength training). Craig is passionate concerning his quest to encourage his nephews, nieces, godchildren, and other black and brown children and young adults to never allow racism to limit their potential.

Dan founded DMC, a fixed income value investor with a specialty in corporate bonds, in 1997 following a sixteen-year career in the financial services industry. Dan focuses on portfolio management, security selection, new business development and is responsible for the overall administrative management of the firm. Dan serves as a member of the board of trustees of Lake Forest College and the board of directors for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dan chairs the investment committee for both the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and for Lake Forest College. He recently co-chaired a $100 million capital campaign for Lake Forest College. Dan received a B.A. from Lake Forest College in 1980.
Michael B. Zeddies, Jr.
MetroSquash Treasurer
Mike is a life-long Chicagoan and recently retired from a 35+ year career in the food industry as Co-owner/President of Midland Marketing, Inc. an independent Food Brokerage/Manufacturer’s Representative sales & marketing company specializing in consumer packaged food and non-food items to the retail grocery sales channel. Recently retired after 35+ year career. Mike graduated from Hanover College, Hanover, IN in1977 and currently serves on their Board of Trustees. Mike recently joined the Board of Directors of The Wetlands Initiative, a non-profit now in its 20th year that specializes and is dedicated to restoring the wetland resources of the Midwest to improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat and biodiversity, and reduce flood damage.
Walter Schmid
MetroSquash Secretary – Idea Arbitrage
Walter founded Idea Arbitrage in 1997 and is focused on supporting the development of ventures in the areas of medical devices, consumer products and educational productivity. Prior to forming Idea Arbitrage, he was a senior executive with the H. J. Heinz Company. He moved to Chicago in 2003 and has been a squash enthusiast for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the Kellogg School of Management.

Nick Alexos joined Univar Solutions in January 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, bringing in-depth knowledge and expertise around market and margin expansion in the general industrial and consumer sectors. Before joining Univar Solutions, Mr. Alexos served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at Dentsply Sirona, Inc. where he led the growth strategy and executed successful portfolio shaping initiatives. Previously he served as a Managing Director of Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, where he helped a wide array of portfolio companies achieve growth and margin expansion. He has served on a number of boards including VWR International, Option Care Health, Sirona Dental Systems, Team Health, Performance Health and various others. He has also served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations including the Children’s Inner City Educational Fund, Lake Forest Country Day School, MetroSquash, University of Chicago Booth School of Business Council, Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago and the Harvard Dental School of Medicine Advisory Board. Mr. Alexos received his bachelor’s degree in business from Loyola University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Jack Connery is managing Director and Head of Midwest Markets. Jack is the senior markets relationship manager for key Miwdest accounts, which include asset managers, banks, hedge funds, and insurance companies. Jack is a native of Illinois and an 18-year veteran of JPMorgan Chase. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Southern California; is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society in Economics; and holds his MBA in business from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Jack is also on the Board of Directors of The Chicago Botanic Gardens and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

Danielle Cupps is a 20-year veteran of finance and private equity. She began her career at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Municipal Finance, then transitioned to Goldman’s fund of funds group for private equity. Dani then spent six years at Code Hennessy and Simmons, a Chicago-based middle market buyout firm, and seven years at The Boeing Company in corporate finance and various other finance roles. Dani is a Trustee of XFLT, a listed closed end fund which trades on the NYSE, and active at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, a public elementary school in Chicago. Dani graduated from Harvard College and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Dani and her husband, Drew Cupps, are active in the squash community through their three squash playing children.

Paul manages the valuation services department for the National Bureau of Property Administration, a consulting firm handling state and local tax issues for manufacturing companies with facilities located in the United States. He became interested in squash through the Lakeshore Athletic Club shortly after moving to Chicago in 1993.

Tom is the director for Marketing & Investor Relations at Monroe Capital LLC. Previously, he worked at Evanston Capital Management, LLC and also served as Principal of Fox River Partners, Stairway Partners and Vice President and Regional Marketing Director at Putnam Investments. With over 20 years of experience in education equity, nonprofit management, and leadership development, Janaé Meyer has the honor and privilege of serving as MetroSquash’s Chief Executive Officer. Her primary responsibility is to champion MetroSquash’s unique approach to advancing healthy youth outcomes, combining academic support, squash & fitness and enrichment opportunities for youth 5th grade through college. She joined the organization in 2016 where she helped to grow organizational impact through intentional partnership, capacity-building, and broadening MetroSquash’s reach. Janaé worked alongside MetroSquash founding CEO David Kay to launch the organization’s satellite site in Evanston, IL, was instrumental in the organization’s 3-year strategic plan, and is excited for the next chapter of MetroSquash. Prior to MetroSquash, Janaé served as Program Director for “I Have A Dream” North Chicago where she helped to establish several initiatives, including guaranteed post-secondary support, to help ensure student success. She is a native South Side Chicagoan, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduate degree from the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice from the University of Chicago. She is the proud mom of a son, Christian, who inspires her each and every day.
